baking book!
(at the top)) This was a quiet book that I created for my friend's daughters first
birthday! I wanted to make her a quiet book that was personal,
interactive, and fun! I also made her an apron to go with it. I used
regular Kona white for the book pages, light-mid weight interfacing for in-between,
and the rest was fabric I had in my stash, lots of felt, sew in velcro,
and I used eyelets and grommets to bind it and make it easier to look
through! :) I am super happy with how it came out!
The last photos are from my Thanksgiving break with my D. & also the Laurel dress I made from Colette Patterns! I fell in love with the fabric and had to make this dress!
Here is the website in which you can buy some of the fabric that I post about!

me? singing? what??? :D
Haven't used this in a awhile, so here goes nothing! for those who don't know, I enjoy singing but I am a tad bit shy. So, one of my goals for the new year was to embrace any fears as well as insecurities that I may have. so check out a short video above to hear me sing kimbra's settle down. :)(click the link above)
I thought this was the most appropriate fortune for today! positive thoughts :)

II.
here's some other stuff I've been working on as well! I started making embroidered portraits, and added prints with color combinations that I've learned from a color theory class. (which I loved) I can't look at color the same way that I used to! it's like learning a new language! I enjoy posting process photos because you never know what could happen when you're creating! I know my projects change often because my thoughts wander. I change my mind often. too often sometimes haha.
I've also completed a few projects... :) a shower curtain, curtains for my kitchen, some interchangeable fabric in an embroidery hoop (that I've hung in my hallway!) and I'm working on all this other stuff now that I don't want to ruin the surprise just yet... I'm so excited!
p.s. all the fabrics you see in most of my posts are from a fantastic store that I am so lucky to work in and be a part of ->rock paper scissors!
