so... as I approached my spring cleaning binge of going through my closets and drawers donating all sorts of goodies, I found a few old bags that were ripped and really were in terrible condition. I got yet another thought... I should totally take them apart inside and out and take off all the hardware... after a few minutes of rummaging and ripping, unscrewing, etc. I took off most of the hardware from a few bags of mine and turned them into new relics! here's a pair of earrings I made out of zippers from one bag. I love how long the zipper body actually is and thought what better way to display these but make them into earrings!! fun no? I also made a few more leather pieces which I will post photos of shortly. Speaking of leather-I absolutely LOVE working with it. It is just something that I understand now, and that I'm so glad I began to dabble in.
more projects will be posted soon as well. I work on a few different things at once so I'll be finishing them off shortly. I also just ordered a ton of snap fasteners and rivets from a fantastic website. can't wait to receive them! :]

the two bottom similar necklaces are my burlap infinity necklaces that are unisex. one is all navy threads & the other is rastafarian colors. the top is just a little fun project from an old cotton shirt that I tore up & added beads :]

just a thought

sometimes I get so overwhelmed by the inspiration and thoughts/ideas that invade my head while I'm sleeping or when I'm relaxing. It's a lot to take in. Don't get me wrong, I love that I seem to become a bottom-less pit of creation but all these ideas flood my brain at once! I need to get a brain organizer lol.

any suggestions on how to become a better organized thinker/creator?

I'm back baby!

just bought a ton of turquoise beads, magnesite, and other beads. pretty excited that I'm on spring break FINALLY!!! going to making a lot more stuff! I actually have some great ideas for new stuff in my collection. I'll give you a hint... it is super African looking! :D
I really do not want my jewelry to look very area specific. I love that it is exotic and ambiguous. I want it to be semi-unisex and free. I take inspiration from every culture and try to make it my own with a little bit of love from all over.
