life lately

I've done some yoga, watched it rain, and had coffee in the garden on some sunny afternoon. life is good.

II.

here's some other stuff I've been working on as well!  I started making embroidered portraits, and added prints with color combinations that I've learned from a color theory class. (which I loved) I can't look at color the same way that I used to! it's like learning a new language! I enjoy posting process photos because you never know what could happen when you're creating! I know my projects change often because my thoughts wander. I change my mind often. too often sometimes haha.
I've also completed a few projects... :) a shower curtain, curtains for my kitchen, some interchangeable fabric in an embroidery hoop (that I've hung in my hallway!) and I'm working on all this other stuff now that I don't want to ruin the surprise just yet... I'm so excited! 
p.s. all the fabrics you see in most of my posts are from a fantastic store that I am so lucky to work in and be a part of ->rock paper scissors!

where do I begin!? I've been creating things like crazy! it's been a little overwhelming since the semester is pretty much done and I finally finished all of my assignments! here's some of the stuff I've created-hope you enjoy! feel free to ask questions or make comments! :)

waking up

I've done a lot of crazy projects recently, (another reason why I have not been posting as much) I'll be putting up photos shortly! however it is 5:41 AM right now as I've been up all night doing two papers and drawing... I've come to a conclusion...
I have to say, despite being annoyed having to pull an all-nighter, the bitterness goes away when everything starts to wake up for the start of a new day. The birds are chirping, and the air is chilled... it really is a beautiful thing. something that I really want to cherish.

it is like a gift that keeps on giving. the start of a new day, a new beginning.

I know, people are probably thinking "you're really lacking sleep" lol but I'm feeling uber philosophical at the moment and needed to share my thoughts. :) (photo take by me 2 summers ago in my garden)

P.S. a really fantastic movie that everyone should watch, (highly recommended) is "life in a day" it is a documentary of what it is like all over the world as we wake up and go about our days until we go to sleep. It follows all these different people's lives-good news, bad news, conflicts, births, deaths,  things that happen daily that we often fail to recognize.
really worth it!!
